During the February 6 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent John Carmello presented Draft 1 of the proposed 2019-2020 Troy City School District budget. At $113,819,820, Draft 1 is 1.72 percent more than the previous year. This year’s tax cap is set at 1.89 percent.
Troy City Schools are still underfunded my $11.9 million according to the Foundation Aid formula. The District needs an appropriate increase in State Aid in order to balance the budget.
