Board of Education Election
The School Board election will be held on May 16 to elect three members of the Board of Education as follows: three members to three-year terms commencing on July 1, 2023 and expiring on June 30, 2026. Three candidates receiving the largest number of votes cast will be elected to the three-year terms. Nominating petitions are available to Troy City School District residents who are interested in running for a position. Please contact the BOE office at (518) 328-5070 or email BOE@troycsd.org to request nominating petitions. Nominating petitions must be received by the District Clerk by April 26. Candidate information will be available on April 27.
Absentee Ballots
Applications for Absentee Ballots are available. If you are unable to vote in person on May 16, please request an Application for Absentee Ballot from the BOE Office at 328-5070 or boe@troycsd.org. Applications must be received at least 7 days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or 1 day before if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. All absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on May 16, the day of the vote.
Polling Locations
Voting will take place at the following Board approved polling locations. Please note that if you previously voted at School 18, you will be voting at the Brunswick No. 1 Fire House on May 16. If you are unsure of where to vote, contact the BOE office at (518) 328-5070 or by email BOE@troycsd.org.
School 2 – Middleburgh & Tenth St.
School 12 – 475 First St.
School 14 – 1700 Tibbits Ave
School 16 – Collins & Walker Ave
Carroll Hill – 112 Delaware Ave
Brunswick No. 1 Fire House – 566 Hoosick Rd.
