On Wednesday, October 14, at approximately 9:30 a.m., School 12 was placed into lockdown out of an abundance of caution due to a report of shots fired outside of the building that was later determined by Troy Police to be a flare gun. Emergency protocols were followed according to plan and police officers lifted the lockdown at approximately 9:45 a.m. At no point were the students and staff involved. The building is now operating normally.
