Troy finished in 13th place in the Section 2 Bowling tournament.

Varsity Bowling hit the lanes for Sectionals last weekend, and the last outing of the season started with a bang.

The Flying Horses rolled their best game right out of the gate with a 1007. Vince Mainello hit a high game of 264, which would stand as the Section 2 Boys Class A high game of the day. He finished the morning with a 669 triple. Jamari Flowers bowled a 202 high game and rolled a 575 triple.

The second half was led by Anthony Mainello, with a high game of 243 and a solid 605 triple. Vince rolled a 582 triple and a team-high of 1251 on the day.

Vincent Mainello recorded the Class A high game of the day with a 264 in the first half.

Troy would finish 13th on the day despite several solid performances on the lanes.

Coach Don Poutre said it was a great season to coach.

“The day was full of ups and downs, but the team fought hard and made our presence known. I could not be prouder of how my team bowled this season. I believe we have a well-rounded team, very respectful and hard-working. We won as a team and lost as a team. The best part of this season was our sense of team spirit. It was high, and the positive vibes were robust!”

Congratulations on a great season!
