Why you need to be a Troy Booster Club Member
Our school district’s administration, faculty and Board of Education do the very best they can to cover all the bases to offer a well-rounded education and safe environment to all our students. Inevitably there is a gap between what has been addressed and funded, and what has not. The Troy Booster Club (TBC) takes pride in that we as parents assist to keep the lines of communication open between these groups and Troy parents. At many schools the booster club is strictly an athletics support organization. The Troy Booster Club encompasses all THS and DMS extracurricular activities, sports, arts and cultural groups. Many of our coaches and club advisors look to the Troy Booster Club for assistance in ‘making it happen’. As issues arise throughout the year effecting our students’ access to advantage and success, TBC tries to represent our parents’ and students’ best interests. We fund raise through key annual events, and assist our students with their fundraising for individual teams and clubs. One of our goals is to present to the community with the most positive image of our students and educational programs while giving our students the resources to achieve their goals. We are role models giving back to our community making Troy the best it can be.
Come to the next meeting
We invite you to take an active role in your student’s middle school and high school experience. We welcome you to become a member. It is simple; please join us at our next monthly meeting as listed on the District Calendar. (Second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the THS library) We welcome you as a volunteer, either as the organizer or a committee member, or just be present to learn what is happening at Doyle Middle School and Troy High School .
