Voter Eligibility

You are an eligible voter if you are:

  • A legal US citizen
  • 18 years old
  • Live within the Troy City School District boundaries for at least 30 days prior to May 17, 2022.

Board of Education Election

The School Board election will be held on May 17 to elect three members of the Board of Education as follows: three members to three-year terms commencing on July 1, 2022 and expiring on June 30, 2025. Three candidates receiving the largest number of votes cast will be elected to the three-year terms. Deadline for nominating petitions was April 27.

Absentee Ballots

This year’s vote will be in person, unlike in 2020 where ballots were mailed to voters. Applications for Absentee Ballots are available.  If you are unable to vote in person on May 17 due to COVID-19 or for any other reason, please request an Application for Absentee Ballot from the BOE Office at 328-5062 or boe@troycsd.org.  Applications must be received at least 7 days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or 1 day before if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.
