The THS Architecture team won third place in the statewide Olympics of the Visual Arts competition in Saratoga Springs.
Troy High School students competed against more than 220 students from across New York State at the 44th annual Olympics of the Visual Arts, held April 30 at the Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs.
Hosted by the New York State Art Teachers Association, the Olympics of the Visual Arts challenges student teams to develop a long-term design solution in one of eight categories, then complete an on-demand design challenge at the live event. Teams present a portfolio showcasing the research, planning and process behind their final design. nysata
Four Troy CSD teams competed this year, each spending months developing creative solutions to this year’s theme: Natural Connections. Troy High School’s Architecture team earned third place in the state in the Biomorphic Spaces category.
All four teams’ work is currently on display at Troy High School.
