On Wednesday, April 1, the Troy City School District Board of Education voted to accept the results of the annexation proposition approved on Tuesday, March 31, by voters in the Wynantskill UFSD.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every community member who took the time to participate in the public forums, ask important questions, and cast their vote.
We now refer these results to the Questar III BOCES District Superintendent, Dr. Gladys Cruz, for a letter of support and submission to the New York State Education Department for final approval.
If approved by NYSED Commissioner Dr. Betty A. Rosa, this historic decision will mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter that will bring immense educational and financial benefits to our students, staff, and taxpayers. By coming together as a unified district, we will have secured a sustainable and vibrant future for our community.
