Troy High School will hold its annual 9th-grade orientation on Wednesday, September 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Troy High School. Transportation will be offered from all elementary schools. The buses
will leave for the high school at 11:45 a.m. Students should arrive at least 10 minutes early at the stop to make sure they don’t miss the bus.

Students not riding the bus should be dropped off at the THS Main Entrance and enter the building via the front steps no earlier than 12:00 p.m.

Upon arrival at the high school, students will be directed to their new locker assignment. Students will use this time to organize their lockers for the school year. Locker assignments, combinations, and class schedules will all be available on the student portal in late August. Students can use this link to access the student portal using Clever. Parents, click here to access the parent portal. If you are having trouble logging in, please contact the THS counseling office at 518-328-5472.

After the students find their lockers, they report to their first-period class. Students will experience a shortened school day to help alleviate some stress and address questions about the first day of school. They will understand how to navigate through the building, and see their classes, the gymnasium, and the cafeteria. After 9th period, students will report to the auditorium where they will meet the principal, assistant principals, and school counselors. Upperclassmen and staff will be stationed in the hallways to assist students in navigating the day. Students will also be introduced to a variety of clubs and activities available at the high school.

All students will be dismissed from the Troy Middle School Auditorium at 2:30 p.m. Those who rode a bus to the orientation program will return home on district transportation to their elementary school. Students who walked or arrived via other means of transportation will be dismissed at the same time.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 3rd.
