We recognized our 2024-2025 cohort of interns at a breakfast on Thursday, May 15
On Thursday, May 15, Troy High School students and their mentors were recognized at the annual Career Discovery Experience (CDE) Recognition Breakfast, celebrating their commitment to career exploration and real-world learning.
Throughout the event, students and mentors shared meaningful reflections about their internship experiences and the impact these opportunities had on their growth and future plans.
The CDE program connects students with local professionals for hands-on experiences in healthcare, education, IT, engineering, history, art, communications, and more. These internships allow students to explore careers of interest while developing essential workplace skills.
Through their participation, students gain insight into the expectations of the professional world – building communication skills, learning the importance of integrity and work ethic, and understanding the value of collaboration, time management, and personal responsibility.
