As we look ahead to the spring sports season, we’d like to recognize our student-athletes for their accomplishments on the court and in the classroom during the winter season.
Boys’ Basketball All-Stars
Leading the charge, sophomore Stetson Merritt earned Co-MVP honors in the Colonial Council, showcasing impressive skill and leadership throughout the season. Junior Kayne Behan was named a Second Team All-Star, while junior Jordan Hood and sophomores Jerdarius Green and Zavion Arroyo received Honorable Mention recognitions.
Girls’ Basketball All-Stars
On the girls’ side, eighth-grader Amaya Harris was named a Second Team All-Star. Senior Laila Thomas, Junior Mia Magnetto, and eighth-grader Kiana Tiernan received honorable mentions for their contributions to the team.
Scholar-Athlete Teams
Along with excellence on the court, many of our student-athletes also excel in the classroom, and three of our teams were named NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete teams for the winter season: Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Swimming and Bowling.
This prestigious recognition is awarded to teams whose top 75% of athletes maintain a GPA of 90.00 or higher. These teams exemplify the balance of academic and athletic commitment that defines true excellence.
