The Flying Horses Boys Varsity Basketball team is one step closer to a championship as they prepare to face crosstown rival LaSalle in the Class AA Sectional Semifinal. This highly anticipated rematch is set for Thursday evening at 5:00 PM at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.
On January 7, the Cadets edged out a narrow 75-71 victory in a game at Troy. Both teams advanced to the semifinals with commanding performances in the quarterfinals, held last weekend at Hudson Valley Community College. Troy defeated Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 74-52, and LaSalle took down Mohonasen 90-43.
Thursday’s winner will advance to the Section 2 title game on Sunday, back at HVCC.
