Troy High School held its annual Black History Day celebration on Friday, February 14. Twelve guest speakers presented on various topics and shared their stories with our students, showcasing their wide range of experiences and careers and lessons learned along the way.
Following the presentations, a reception was held in the library. Several students performed spoken word pieces, and hip-hop artist and Troy High Class of 2018 graduate Eric “Hundo” Davis performed the original rap “Born With a Label” that he created during his senior year at THS.
The reception also included a delicious meal, thanks to Ms. Lorraine McCleary.
Thank you to all our guests for spending the morning with our students and everyone at THS who made this great event possible!
