9/21 vs Averill Park: 2-0 L
Averill Park’s defensive pressure kept the ball on Troy’s side of the field at the start of the game. This came into play when Averill Park scored their first goal 24 minutes into the game. This goal was scored by Carter Dee on a through ball by Luke Michael. Troy stepped up their game defensively after this, finishing the half 1-0. 10 minutes into the second half, Averill Park’s Carter Dee scored his second goal of the game, off a free kick from Liam Fitch. Troy played the remaining 30 minutes of the game without another score from Averill Park, ending the game at 2-0. Averill Park had a very strong defensive line which made it hard for Troy to shoot throughout the game. Overall, it was a very well played game by both teams.

9/26 vs Lansingburgh: 1-0 W
Troy’s match against Lansinburgh was the Flying Horses’ first official Colonial Council matchup with their neighbor to the north, and both teams came out eager to earn the win. The slippery conditions and the high energy resulted in back and forth play for the first few minutes of the match. As the teams settled in, Troy started to take over possession but the Knights hard work on the defensive end limited Troy’s chances. 25 minutes into the first half the Flying Horses broke through to score the only goal of the match. Dawson Fera took on a couple of Lansingburgh defenders on the wing and crossed the ball to the top of the opposite side of the 18 where Jakub Kaczmar received the cross and finished. The rest of the match saw Troy creating the majority of the chances but the Knights defensive efforts kept the Flying Horses from adding another. Shot count: Troy 8 – Lansingburgh 2. James Rua had 2 saves as he recorded the shutout in net for Troy. The Knights Cameron Weaver had 4 saves for the game. Shout out to Troy’s Ethan Hoxha and Lansingburgh’s Romelt Daniel Davila Mayora for the outstanding effort they put in during tonight’s match.
