The game was back and forth with Troy showing more opportunities as the game developed. At the 18 minute mark, Troy would score when a cross came in just inside the 18 yard box and deflected off an Amsterdam defender. Troy’s Joseph Coonan hit a half volley that rifled into the net putting Troy up 1-0. With about 8 minutes left in the first half, Aundrey Fowler for Amsterdam made a throw-in that deflected off a Troy defender in the box and into the goal, evening the score 1-1 at half. The second half Troy stepped up the pressure and continued to find chances in Amsterdam’s box. With about 6 minutes left, Amsterdam had a corner kick. Amsterdam’s Moises Morales, sent a cross in high around the middle of the 6 yard box, which Anderson Deleon ran in to head the ball into the net. End score 2-1 Amsterdam.
