2023 Career Discovery Breakfast

25 THS students were recognized at the annual Career Discovery Experience breakfast on May 18, 2023.

On Thursday, May 18, twenty-five Troy High School seniors and their mentors were honored for their collaboration in the Career Discovery Experience (CDE) at the annual recognition breakfast.

The program, previously known as the Career Exploration Internship Program (CEIP), continues to be overseen by Rose Gorman. During the event, students and their mentors will have the opportunity to share their insights and reflections about their internship.

The CDE provides students with valuable chances to explore various professions through hands-on work experiences in fields such as business/industry, law enforcement, marketing, science and technology, healthcare, government entities, and private not-for-profit agencies. Several students interned with Troy CSD staff at School 14, School 18, Troy Middle School and the District Office.

Participating students will acquire firsthand knowledge about the demands and requirements of one or more careers. By observing positive adult role models, they will gain an understanding of the significance of possessing appropriate attitudes and behavior, maintaining integrity and ethics, developing effective human relations and communication skills, fostering teamwork, managing time efficiently, and cultivating good study habits.
