A group of THS Art Club students recently designed and painted this mural on the lower level of the building outside the cafeteria.

Over spring break, Troy High School art club students and Ms. Duchnycz worked together with Lady Pink’s team to paint a wall on the first level of the school. The mural was designed and painted by students, with the help of professionals to finalize the design and organize the process.

According to her website, Lady Pink created a name for herself in the early 1980s as “the only female capable of competing with the boys in the graffiti subculture.” She has had artwork included in collections at the Whitney Museum, the MET in New York City, The Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Fine Art in Boston and the Groningen Museum of Holland.
