Third, Fourth and Fifth Graders at School 16 explored financial literacy and career readiness with Junior Achievement and guests from General Electric.

Earlier this month, Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York hosted a special day of activities for third, fourth, and fifth graders at School 16. Volunteers from GE taught students about basic economic concepts, financial literacy skills, and career readiness.

Utilizing JA’s hands-on curriculum, GE business volunteers helped to strengthen self-esteem, stimulate imagination, and strengthen collaboration skills. Students learned how making smart choices with their money can impact their futures, and they even developed their own business plans! Many were inspired to even be entrepreneurs! Thank you to Junior Achievement and GE for helping prepare our students for their future!
