Activating Your ParentSquare Account
ParentSquare utilizes the contact information you currently have on file with the district. You are encouraged to activate your Troy CSD ParentSquare account ASAP using your current contact information on file with the district at www.parentsquare.com/signin.
Using the link above, activate your account under the “Sign Up/Create New Password” section. If you are unable to activate your account, it likely means you need to update your primary contact information on file with the district. Please contact your school’s main office to ensure they have your most up-to-date cell phone number and email address if this is the case.

The district has sent email invitations to all Troy families requesting they activate their ParentSquare Accounts using their current contact information on file (either their email or cell phone number). If you have not received this invitation, you likely need to update your primary contact information on file with the district.

Q: What is ParentSquare?
A: ParentSquare, is a communication platform that lets Troy CSD unite all parent/guardian communication from the district under one umbrella. Click here to take a short tutorial on ParentSquare
Q: Is ParentSquare replacing SchoolMessenger?
A: Yes, ParentSquare is replacing Troy’s text messaging, email, and robocall platform SchoolMessenger in July 2022. Using ParentSquare, every method of communication will be in one place to make it easier for our Troy families and staff.
Q: Who will ParentSquare contact?
A: ParentSquare will notify those contacts listed as a Primary Parent/Guardian in eSchoolData, which is Troy CSD’s Student Information System. ParentSquare will always reflect the most current contact information in eSchoolData. If you need to change your contact information in ParentSquare, contact your student’s school ASAP so it can be updated in eSchoolData.
Q: If I change my contact information (phone number, email address), how long does it take until that change is in effect?
A: It can take up to 24 hours for your contact information to be synced from eSchoolData to ParentSquare.
Q: Why didn’t I receive a ParentSquare invitation?
A: The district sent ParentSquare email invitations to all families on July 7, 2022. Invitations were sent to the email addresses of parents/guardians that we have on file in our student management system. If you did not receive a ParentSquare invite, then we likely have the wrong contact information on file for you. Please contact your school’s main office to verify or correct the contact information we have on file.
Q: Why doesn’t my ParentSquare invite link work?
A: Invitation links only last for 24 hours, but you do not need to wait for a new invitation to activate your account! You can go to the ParentSquare login page and activate your account with the same email address we have on file.
Q: Do I have to create a ParentSquare account?
A: No. But what a registered user can see and have access to and what a non-registered user can see and have access to will be different. For a detailed list of registered vs non-registered, please click here to view an article on registration settings.
Q: I can’t sign into ParentSquare. What is the first step?
A: If you can’t sign into ParentSquare with your email or phone number, please contact your school’s main office to make sure your contact information is correct in eSchoolData
Q: Do I have to use ParentSquare on my phone?
A: No. You can use ParentSquare on both your phone and a regular computer. Go to the ParentSquare login page to access your account on a computer, and to access the ParentSquare App, visit the Apple App Store or the Google Play App Store here.
Q: My email is correct in ParentSquare. Why am I not receiving emails?
A: Please check your spam to see if any ParentSquare messages ended up there, and mark them as “Not Spam.” Also, add email@example.com to your email contacts, so your server recognizes our messages. If you still are not receiving emails, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: I am getting too many messages from ParentSquare. Is it possible to receive fewer notifications?
A: Yes, you can customize your notification settings by going to your homepage and clicking on your name in the top right corner and selecting “My Account” from the drop-down menu. You can find your notification settings in the top right corner of your account page and click “Change This” to customize your notifications. If you are receiving too many notifications, try changing to the “Digest” setting, where you will only receive one summary message in the evening. Q: How do I unsubscribe?
A: To unsubscribe from text, text STOP to the number sending you the texts. However, if you only click “unsubscribe” on an email or text, ParentSquare will still notify you of an emergency. To stop receiving all notifications, please email email@example.com to remove your contact details from our database.
