Heard World Music completed a mini-residency at School 18 last week, teaching students about West African Dance and music from around the world.

Last week, Heard World Music spent two days at School 18 teaching students about the music, culture and dance in West Africa. On Friday, the group performed an interactive concert that explored the students’ learning from earlier in the week.
This mini-residency was a great way for students to experience music from different cultures – and they did a great job learning the dancing and singing! It also brings out work students do in music class with Mr. Boemio learning to become tuneful, beautiful and artful musicians.
Thank you to our guests for providing this wonderful experience for our students!
