Dear Families of Pre-K – 5 Students:

The COVID-19 data is finally trending in the right direction, here in the school district, as well as in the Capital Region and across the State. We must all work together to keep this momentum going. Now, more than ever, we need to remain vigilant and continue to follow all of our protocols and procedures.

To do our part and in keeping with our pandemic no-visitor policy, we have decided to make Tuesday, May 18, a “Remote Only Day” for the students in all five elementary schools, and the Pre-K program at School 12. Our elementary schools and School 12 are used as polling sites for the 2021-2022 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election.  Please note, at School 12, only the Pre-K students will be remote;  all other School 12 students should report as usual.

Again, all Pre-K – 5 students will be learning from home on Tuesday, May 18, and should not report to school. Additional details and information about this day will be forthcoming from your child’s school.

As a reminder, all voters must wear a mask upon entering our buildings and keep social distance from other voters. Polls will be open as scheduled – Tuesday, May 18, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As always, the health and safety of students and staff is our top priority and we appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely,

John Carmello
Superintendent of Schools
