Seniors, Parents and Guardians,
I am writing this correspondence to share some important end-of-the-year senior activity information. Seniors, we have been working diligently to make sure that you are able to enjoy some of the most important milestones in your life: Prom, Senior Class Night and Graduation. We understand how important these moments and experiences are for you and your families. We also want you to know and to understand that the health and wellness of all persons involved in these events is paramount. Here is the information that we have at this time:
Senior Class Night will be held virtually again this year. We will release a video on our district webpage at approximately 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26. On this night, members of the Senior Class will be recognized and celebrated for all of their hard work.
Senior Prom will be Friday, June 11, from 7:00-11:00 pm on our football field. This is a formal event; appropriate attire is mandatory. We are obligated to follow all state regulations and guidelines. Therefore, all Troy High students who plan on attending must show proof of either COVID-19 vaccination with the mandatory minimum of two weeks (14 days) since your second dose, a 72-hour PCR test with a negative result or attend the rapid testing site here at Troy High School the day of the prom from 1:00-4:00 pm – location to be determined. Any person who receives a positive result will not be permitted to attend. If you cannot fulfill these requirements, you will not be permitted into the event, no exceptions! Outside guests will be permitted with proof of valid photo identification, as well as, a negative 72-hour PCR test or vaccination card. Outside guests are not eligible to come to the rapid testing offered at Troy High School, no exceptions!
Graduation will be held on our football field again this year. Last year’s graduation was a great success and we are happy to host this occasion again at home! Graduation will be held on Friday, June 25, with staggered arrivals beginning at 6:00 pm. Two guests may accompany each graduate for the ceremony. Again, as we are obligated to follow all state regulations and guidelines, all guests will have to show proof of full vaccination with the mandatory two-week time lapse as stated above or proof of a negative 72-hour PCR test. We will administer same-day (6/25) on-site rapid testing FOR GRADUATES ONLY between 12:00-4:00 pm.
As soon as we confirm more details, we will once again reach out to you with that information.
