This month’s extra mile goes to Jessica Baggot. Known to the students and staff as “Jess,” she is a perfect example of a staff member who goes above and beyond her duties as secretary. Whether it’s staying in touch with students during the summer, hooking up a hungry kid with something to eat or drink, or simply being present to listen to someone who needs to get something off their chest, Jess is always there to lend a helping hand. Students can always count on receiving a warm welcome from Jess when they enter the office, they know that welcome is genuine from someone who truly cares about their well-being, and that welcome may be exactly what they need to enter a positive mental space to approach the day. She encompasses what it means to be a public servant, and we’re very happy to have her on our PS12 Team.
