Dear Families:

We have been notified that two students from Troy Middle School and one from School 2 have tested positive for COVID-19. All three are fully remote students who have not been in the buildings or on campus. Additionally, a bus driver has tested positive. The passengers on this bus are out-of-district program students. Neither the bus driver nor the students have been in our buildings or on campus. The Department of Health has determined there was no district exposure and therefore no additional contact tracing or quarantining is necessary. While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws, we cannot release any identifiable information about the individual or affected students.

Please be reminded that we must all work together to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Families and community members can assist our efforts by promoting healthy behaviors and following these practices:

  • wearing masks,
  • social distancing,
  • practicing good hygiene, and
  • limiting group gatherings

As always, the health and safety of students and staff is our top priority and we appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely,

John Carmello
Superintendent of Schools
