Class of 2020,

Well……I guess nothing is going to be easy for us! After following the weather forecast and hoping to get a nice day for our Senior Sign Distribution day, it looks like both the original day (Friday 5/15) and the rain date (Monday, 5/18) are going to be washouts. I really believe that you all DESERVE a day that has some positivity and will create a nice memory. With that being said, we decided to move the date to SATURDAY, 5/16Please accept my sincerest apology to those of you this doesn’t work for. We will still follow the same time schedule from my previous email in relation to the time frame you should attend. If you have a conflict and cannot attend your designated time, please email me or Mr. Robinson/Mr. Hurley to change your time to drive through. We still have to follow the guidelines and cannot have too many people on campus at the same time. I really hope all of you, or most of you, can make it. I cannot stress enough how much your teachers and administrators miss seeing you. See you all SATURDAY, 5/16!

Class of 2020,

I hope you are all doing well! As you all know, we received the horrible news last Friday from the Governor that school will not re-open this year. It wasn’t the news that I, and I’m sure many of you, was hoping for. With that being said, I want you all to know that WE are not giving up hope on providing you with some events that are allowed within the guidelines given by the state. If graduation is affected, we will provide a date later in the summer to celebrate your huge accomplishments! I am so proud of you all as a Senior class. The way your Senior year is coming to an end is disappointing. Our faculty and staff feel horrible that you have missed out on many events that Seniors look forward to, but we are also very proud of the way you are handling yourselves. You have proven that you have great strength, character, resiliency, and toughness as you continue to complete your high school career. You are learning some life lessons during this time that will last you a lifetime!

On Friday, May 15th, we would like you all to come up to the high school and pick up your Senior signs. I would love this to be a huge celebration, but we do have to follow the guidelines set forth by the state in regards to social distancing and group gatherings. So the plan is……we will have a drive-thru pick up set up in the side lot at Troy High School at these specified designated times:
  • Students with last name beginning with the letter A – I, please pick up your sign between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
  • Students with the last name beginning with the letter J – R, please pick up your sign between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
  • Students with the last name beginning with the letter S – Z, please pick up your sign between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
**As you pull in the lot, there will be monitors giving directions to help with the flow of traffic. Please make every effort to come and get your sign, we miss you all and would love to see you!!
****If by chance, there is inclement weather on this date, our RAIN DATE is Monday, May 18th, same times apply. I will send out an email to this group early in the morning if there is a need to postpone this event.
