Before the COVID-19 class cancellation, School 2 Student Support Specialist Sam Aronowitz was helping students manage their emotions and learn to focus through the practice of yoga and other mindfulness techniques. Each day students were scheduled to meet with “Mr. A” in the mindfulness room. They did yoga poses and practiced breathing. The result? Students were better able to control their behavior and emotions on their own once back in the classroom and at home.
