On August 22, the NYS Education Department released the results of its grades 3-8 English language arts and math assessments, which were administered at public schools statewide this past spring.

Overall, Troy City School District saw an increase in English proficiency from 22 to 26 percent, while math proficiency edged upward from 19 to 20 percent,

An analysis of our results was presented to the Board of Education on Tuesday, August 29. Parents can expect to receive their children’s individual assessment reports from the District early this fall.
