On November 7 at 2:45 p.m., just before dismissal, the blue emergency lights were accidentally activated at Troy Middle School. Although the administration was aware it was mistakenly set off, the school continued to follow emergency protocol procedures for a lock down drill as required by law and as outlined in our safety plans. The C-SPAN Bus made a stop at Troy Middle School on Monday as part of its “50 Capitals Tour.” Students boarded the bus where they spoke with Mayor Patrick Madden about local government. C-SPAN Bus employees also discussed the network itself. Thank you, C-SPAN, for including us on your tour!
On October 25, the 21st Century After School Program at Troy Middle School welcomed families and community members to an open house, showcasing the various activities available to students. “Lights on After School” is a nationwide event that highlights the importance of after school programs.
