Troy CSD and the Parent Network of the Capital Region will offer several parent trainings over the course of the school year on a variety of topics relating to students with disabilities and other challenges. Our District has partnered with BrightBytes – an educational research organization – to explore our use of technology for learning. We invite you to answer a few questions about your technology use. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Students in the Alternative Learning Program at School 12 in Troy received some positive advice from a special visitor Thursday afternoon. Matt Breida, a running back with the San Francisco 49ers, spoke to students about making smart choices and valuing their education.
The My Brother’s Keeper program at School 12 aims to improve academic performance as well as to reduce disciplinary action for young men. Through mentors and incentives, students are learning about citizenship and character, while improving their grades.
On Friday, March 16, there will be a full scale active shooter training exercise at Troy High School between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. This drill will include the response from local, county and state emergency service agencies. This is a professional development day for the entire district, therefore there is no school at any of our buildings. NO STUDENTS WILL BE PARTICIPATING.
