Dear Elementary Families:
As we approach the second half of the school year, we are tirelessly working to create bus schedules that will allow for social distancing. At this time, we have more students signed up for transportation than we have seats available, using our current schedule.
During our review in preparation for the February 1 changes, we have noticed that many students who have previously signed up for transportation are not actually boarding the bus. We ask that if you are signed up for transportation but are NOT utilizing it, PLEASE opt out so that we can make space for someone who needs it. Please notify us by Monday, January 25, if you no longer need transportation by emailing transport@troycsd.org.
If we are unable to reduce the number of bus riders, we will need to make more significant changes to our schedule to accommodate the buses. This may include staggering start and end times for some elementary schools. Obviously, this is not the preferred solution, and so we are asking for your help in avoiding this mid-year change.
