November 25, 2020

Dear Families,

I want to thank you for your continued support and assistance in keeping our students safe, and our schools open, during what is certainly the most unique school year that most of us have ever witnessed. As we enter the holiday season, I respectfully ask that you be mindful of how important it is that we each do our part to prevent the virus from spreading. While we are prepared to pivot to fully remote learning if necessary, we all would prefer to continue operating with our current model.

As a reminder, if you would like to change your child’s learning model for the second half of the year, you must complete the Learning and Transportation Choice Form by December 1. Approved changes will take effect on February 1, 2021.

Remember, now is not the time to become complacent. Please be smart and continue to be vigilant as you celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend as well as during the upcoming Holiday season. Please continue to wash and sanitize your hands, wear a mask, and practice social distancing wherever possible.  The CDC recommends celebrating only with people in your household.  Traveling and attending large gatherings increases your risk and the risk of spreading COVID-19 within our schools.  Again, we must all do our part.  We are in this together.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

John Carmello

Superintendent of Schools
