Learning and Transportation Choice Confirmation, schedule information

STATUS UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who contacted us. Schedules for in-person learning have been developed based on the responses received as of today, September 4. Please understand that at this time, we will not be able to accommodate selection change requests for in-person learning. Troy Middle and Troy High Students – If you need to change your child’s purple or gold group due to an extenuating circumstance, like shared child care or transportation needs, please still contact your child’s school immediately.

 

Dear Families,

As we get closer to the first day of school on Monday, September 14, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your patience and support as we navigate through what will surely be one of the most unique and challenging school years to date. Thank you to the families who proactively filled out the Learning and Transportation Choice Form. Having this information early helped us to properly plan and ensure that we are providing the safest learning environment possible for our in-person learners. 

On Thursday, you will receive an email with confirmation of your learning and transportation choice. You will also receive a text alert if you are signed up to receive these messages.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s school directly as soon as possible. Remember, remote only learners have committed to that option until January.

For secondary, hybrid students, you will also be informed of your child’s in-person learning group – Purple or Gold.

If you need to change your child’s group due to an extenuating circumstance, like shared child care or transportation needs, again please contact your child’s school immediately. 

Secondary Hybrid Grouping

Many of you have asked how the groups will be split for Troy Middle School and Troy High School. Generally, each grade has been split alphabetically by last name, although exceptions are being made as mentioned above as well as to ensure our class sizes remain low:

TMS – all

  • A-L Purple; M-Z Gold

THS

  • Grade 9: A-J Purple; K-Z Gold
  • Grade 10: A-J Purple; K-Z Gold
  • Grade 11: A-L Purple; M-Z Gold
  • Grade 12: A-J Purple; K-Z Gold

 

Additional Information

Elementary teacher assignments, secondary daily schedules, and bus routes will all be mailed to you directly from your child’s school. These mailings will go out on Friday or by Tuesday at the very latest.

Additionally, you can send questions to covid19@troycsd.org if you cannot find your answer on our website. We are working to answer your questions as quickly as possible.
