Dear TMS Parents and Families,
All classes will be canceled, effective Wednesday, March 18 – Wednesday, April 1. Classes are scheduled to resume on Thursday, April 2. This includes all classes, events, and athletics at the Troy City School District. We will continue to monitor and follow guidance from local, state and federal agencies to reassess and reevaluate whether we may need to extend our closing if conditions worsen. TMS Teachers have developed assignments by grade level and subject area for students to complete while home during this period of time. These materials can be accessed through Google Classroom.
We have put together a sample daily schedule (see below) to help students maintain a daily routine. In the event that you need to contact your child’s teachers, they will be available via email. Teacher emails can be found by going to http://www.troycsd.org/troy-middle-school/staff/.
We are planning to continue to provide breakfast and lunch for any student who needs it. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the Troy High School Cafeteria from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 noon daily, starting Wednesday, March 18. Any student may come and pick up a “grab and go” bag during these times. Please visit the district website for information regarding shuttle service.
As Mr. Carmello stated, we will continue to follow guidance from local, state and federal agencies and will provide additional information as often as possible. Please continue to follow the CDC’s recommendations – including thorough handwashing, physical distancing and avoiding large groups and those who are ill –to stay safe and healthy.
